70% Isopropyl Alcohol (Rubbing Alcohol)
Alcohol is most commonly used for rubdown and general message purposes. It is used as an antiseptic for simple wound disinfection. 70% isopropyl alcohol is meant for external use only.
99% Isopropyl Alcohol
Alcohol commonly used for cleaning and drying of instruments. It also has many uses in the laboratory in various staining and analytical techniques. 99% isopropyl alcohol does not contain ethyl alcohol and is not offered as a substitute. 99% isopropyl alcohol is not for internal or external use.
Methyl Alcohol (Methanol)
Alcohol most commonly used in laboratories for fixation, cytology, histology, microbiology, and other general laboratory applications. Methyl alcohol is not intended for internal or external use.
Reagent Alcohol
This alcohol contains 90% Ethyl alcohol, 5% Methyl alcohol and 5% Isopropyl alcohol(s). The use of this alcohol is governed by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms. Reagent alcohol provides a low cost alcohol in replacement of pure ethyl alcohol for manufacture of reagents, histology, cytology and general laboratory analytical purposes. Reagent alcohol is not for internal or external use.
