WAVICIDE-01® Solution is a slightly acidic (pH 6.3) aqueous solution of glutaraldehyde which also contains a buffer, a non-ionic surfactant, a silicone antifoam and a corrosion inhibitor. Glutaraldehyde is the sole active ingredient. It is registered with the FDA as a high level disinfectant/sterilant and is intended for the disinfection of medical instruments. Our 510K number is K914749/S5. It is effective as a high level disinfectant in 45 minutes and as a sterilant in 10 hours. It is not intended to be used as a disinfectant for environmental surfaces. This item is manufactured in the United States by Medical Chemical Corp.
