Mucicarmine stain is an aqueous solution of carmine, aluminum chloride and alcohol in water. It is used with metanil yellow (catalog # 6649A) and modified Mayer’s hematoxylin (catalog # 6498A) to demonstrate mucin in paraffin sections. Manufactured in the United States by Medical Chemical corp.
