This kit is intended to be used to demonstrate trivalent iron in tissue sections or blood films. The procedure utilizes the ability of ferric salts to react with ferrous salts to form the intense blue color of Prussian blue. In this procedure Ferric iron will stain blue while cytoplasm and nuclei will stain pink to red. 758A-KIT contains 4 oz. bottles of 3% v/v hydrochloric acid, 3% potassium ferrocyanide and nuclear fast red stain.
