Catalog # AAD is 0.5% v/v hydrochloric acid and is used as a decolorizer in auramine/rhodamine fluorescent staining of acid fast bacteria. The staining procedure also requires Auramine/Rhodamine stain (catalog # 789D) and 0.5% potassium permanganate (catalog # PPC-1). Manufactured in the United States by Medical Chemical Corp.
