Congo red stain is used to demonstrate amyloid deposits in paraffin tissue sections. Reagents used with congo red are 1% w/v sodium hydroxide (catalog # 8371A) and modified Mayer’s hematoxylin (catalog # 6198A). Manufactured in the United States by Medical Chemical Corp.
