This stain kit is intended for the demonstration of mucopolysaccharides and glycoproteins. The reagents in the kit are a 5% w/v aqueous solution of potassium, 12% v/v acetic acid, 5% v/v hydrochloric acid, colloidal iron stock solution and Van Gieson stain. The kit is manufactured in the United States by Medical Chemical Corp.
