Bouin’s solution is an aqueous tissue fixative containing formaldehyde, acetic acid and picric acid. It is commonly used as a fixative for tissue samples before embedding the tissue in paraffin. Medical Chemical packages this reagent in 4 oz., 16 oz. 1 gal. and 2.5 gal plastic bulk containers as well as pre-filled biopsy containers. Available biopsy containers are:
